A Funny Story

I have to tell you this story...

The other day Walter had a 1.5 litre bottle of soft drink beside the bed, being the hot blooded Fijian he is, he wakes often of thirst.   Anyhow, the other night he turns to his soft drinnk, and immediately starts laughing.   I was like WHAT???   Turns out the said soft drink had been drunk and all that was in the bottle was water!

So I put on my dectective hat.

The next afternoon I offered Christopher a drink,  he took a mouthful and said ewwww what is it?   I figure - not the culprit.   Then I offer Alexandria a drink,  she said eww no Christopher and I drank it the other day,  thats just water.   The Littlest Littles are cunning little foxes.

What can you do other than laugh???

I had to shoot home to meet the carpet cleaner, who was an hour late argh.   I forgave him when I saw the difference he had made to the carpets,   they look brand new!

There was supposed to be a storm today,  it couldn't have been more the opposite!

Being December the 1st we held tradition and put up our Christmas Tree

Life - Monday

I love listening to Joshua when he plays the keyboard,  he has picked up so many tunes by ear.  Years ago he went to lessons but absolutely hated them, I think we may have to try again.

It was a miserable day here today, overcast, wet and muggy, our humidity apparantly hit 98% and tonight it is due to hit 100%.   Tomorrows forecast is not pretty with thunderstorms due.  Yay for Summer ??
Alexandria has her school atheletics, so I had to cancel my hair appointment,  if it is pouring down first thing in the morning I will try and slip it back in.   We are also having the carpets cleaned yay.  Michael is going to attempt to sell his car on Trade Me... watch this space.

GSO @ DST

Thank You Kinun :)

Life - Sunday

We decided to head down to the beach this evening for a walk.  Walter stayed home as he had just got back from work and has paper work to do.    I took hundreds of photos...

The kids had a ball,  building sandcastles,  the older two were brave enough to go in the water,  whilst Joshua and Christopher walked around the rocks.  Alexandria stayed close to me, playing with a classmate of Christophers from last year.

Life - Saturday

I don't know what started it but I have been reminiscing.  27 years ago in 1982 I used to watch this television series with my mum,  the music was unforgettable.  I went in search of some of the songs on You Tube and was in awe at how many were on there...   I have spent hours watching and singing this afternoon.   This was my "High School Musical"  I wish the television networks would bring it back.

I haven't watered my gardens today as the heavens have done it for me.   In other words it has been a hideous day!   Walter went into work today and loaded the truck for a job they have to do tomorrow -  by going in today it allows him to watch the All Black Test in the wee hours of the morning.

Mac - Placing A Preview Picture On Your Files

Did you know you could put a preview pictures on your Mac Folders (See Above).  I have worked out a method that I will share with you.

In Photoshop I create a file called "folder" = 300 x 300 @ 300dpi saved as a jpeg with a low image quality.  Right Click and Copy “Folder” jpg (as shown below)

Go Back to the folder you wish to have the preview on and click the blue “i” Get Info.  This will open another dialogue box

Click on the little blue folder (top left) in this new dialogue box,  then “Command+V” to paste your preview

Your preview should appear on that folder.  Close the dialogue box and you are done.

If a “JPEG” preview appears your “Folder.jpeg” file is too big and will need resizing.

I hope that my trial and errors will make it easier for others who are converting from a Windows PC to a Mac.

SALE

ScrapArtist is having a Black Friday Recovery Sale,
be sure to get in early for the larger discount :)

Life - Friday

We have had a beautiful day weatherwise,  it gave us the opportunity to get out and into the gardens,  I managed to get half of them completely weeded, hopefully tomorrow I will get into the other half,  although we have rain forecast :(

I had both Alexandria and Christopher home today with tonsillitis,  they will both recover before Monday - well they had better LOL.  I mentioned to Jan in our 8.30am daily conversation that I needed to go and get some gloves so I could break out the sugar soap and do some serious cleaning of our back deck.   No Problems and half an hour later Jan arrived with a box of Surgical Gloves - 100 of them!!   She uses them for work and has excess.   Anyhow Alexandria and Christopher had us in hysterics blowing up the gloves and making weird and wonderful animals out of them.

Photo of Me taken by Daniel John Little - Photographer Wanna Be Extraordinaire. It is black and white due to the severe amount of gray hair caused by the said photographer :)   I have an appointment for Tuesday morning - I am so looking forward to it.

Life - Thursday

Touch Rugby Evening,  we have been regraded and started the new round of competition tonight,  we ended up 4th in the last competition,  which is pretty good considering we are all newbies.   Tonight we played a Year 4 team which was awesome,   but our team stepped up to the plate and played there hearts out.     Next week there has been a glitch due to our schools Christmas Concerts being at the same time as our games,  so our game has been rescheduled for the following week.  We will play two games one at 4pm and one at 5.30pm - tis going to be a long long day!

Michael mowed the back lawn today,  so I did some more weeding.   I popped over next door to check up on Lucy as I diagnosed her as having chickenpox yesterday,  sure enough more batches have reared there ugly heads.   Thankfully all my kids have had chickenpox and I would not want to endure that again.
